Chhattisgarhi Khel Madai concludes

Bhilai, Feb 21: The two-day Chhattisgarhi Khel Madai organized by the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association under the aegis of the Youth and Welfare Department of Chhattisgarh concluded on Sunday.
Thesports event was held in Patan and those present at the closing ceremony were Gurcharan Singh Hora, General Secretary, Chhattisgarh Olympic Association and GS Bombra, Vice President Chhattisgarh Olympic Association, Dr Atul Shukla, President, Raipur District Olympic Association, Dr Dinesh Namdev Sports Officer, Block Education Officer TR Jagdale, Rupendra Singh Chauhan, AsistantSecretary, ChattisgarhTennis Association.
The tournament was held in the disciplines of Sankhali, TuveLangarchi, Gedi, NaugodiaBhaura, GilliDanda, Sur Pitthool, PudhavPuk, and Phugri. The Kho Kho competition was held as a demonstration game in which Bhilai Corporation’s team was the winner while Rajnandgaonwas runner-up.
Olympic Association General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Hora informed that the Madai was successful due to the efforts of the sports officer of Government College Dinesh Namdev and his team and the Throwball team.
The winners in individual sporting events were: Fugdi-(Girl) winner Dikeswari (Patan), Runner up Dhanishtha (Raipur), 3rd Reena Nishad (Bemetara); PudhavPuk -Winner Parmeshwar Barre (Rajnandgaon), Runner up Akash Bagh (Patan), Third Bharat Sahu (Gariaband); NaugodiaBhaura winner Karan Sahu (Rajnandgaon), Runner up Gopal Nishad (Patan), third place Lalit Rajak (Bilaspur); GilliDanda (men’s) winner Raipur, runner-up Gariaband; Sur Pitthool winner Raipur, runner-up Durg , Gediball winner Balodabazar, runner-up Dhamtari; TuveLangarchi winner Patan, runner-up Raipur.
