Chhattisgarh reports 2617 fresh COVID positive cases, 19 deaths

Raipur, Sep 20:
Chhattisgarh has registered 2617 fresh COVID-19 (Coronavirus) positive patients and 19 deaths during the last 24 hours. Meanwhile 1176 patients have been discharged from various hospitals after recovery.
According to information received from health department out of 2617 fresh COVID positive cases maximum 780 belong to Raipur while 323 patients were found in Durg, 196 in Rajnandgaon, 184 in Mahasamund, 116 each in Dhamtari and Raigarh, 110 in Sukma, 106 in Dantewada, 98 in Balod, 97 in Bilaspur, 72 in Sarguja, 60 in Mungeli, 57 in Janjgir, 53 in Gariaband, 37 in Korba, 36 in Bastar, 33 in Narayanpur, 31 in Surajpur, 30 in Balrampur, 25 in Baloda-Bazaar, 21 in Bemetara, 17 in Koriya and 15 in Kawardha. Four patients have come from other states. Meanwhile 1176 patients who were undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the state have recovered and they have gone back to their homes after discharge. Meanwhile 19 persons infected with COVID-19 have died in various hospitals.
According to health department 13 of the deceased had co-morbidities. Total 918455 suspected COVID-19 patients were identified in the state so far and their samples were sent to labs for testing. Samples of 84234 of them have tested positive for COVID-19. Presently 37489 active COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment in various COVID hospitals in the state while total 36420 patients have returned to their homes after being discharged from hospitals. COVID-19 has caused total 664 deaths in the state so far.
