Chhattisgarh reports 102 new COVID-19 cases

Raipur: Chhattisgarh records 102 new cases of COVID-19 on April 6, taking the state’s total tally to 95,403 since the beginning of the pandemic. Raipur reports the highest number of cases at 25, followed by Kondagaon with 17 cases, and Rajnandgaon with 12 cases. The remaining districts reported cases in single digits.
The state conducted 1,667 sample tests on April 6, with a positivity rate of 6.12%. Fortunately, there were no new COVID-19 related deaths reported today.
The state health department has confirmed that there are no active patients of coronavirus in the 10 districts where cases have been reported. The department is closely monitoring the situation and implementing necessary measures to curb the spread of the virus. Contact tracing is being carried out, and citizens are being urged to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour, such as wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and washing hands regularly. Meanwhile, the Chhattisgarh government is ramping up its vaccination efforts and urging citizens to get vaccinated at the earliest. As of April 6, a total of 5,281,980 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the state.
