Chhattisgarh is a holy land of Mata Kaushalya and Lord Ram is our nephew: Bhupesh Baghel

Bhilai, Oct 16: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended Dussehra celebrations at three different places in Durg District on Friday. The first event he attended was the Dussehra celebrations at Mahamaya temple premises located at Kumhari. He prayed for the prosperity of the state and offered prayers to Lord Ram and Lord Laxman.
He greeted the people of the state and wished everyone happiness and peace in their lives. Praising Lord Shri Ram, CM said that Dussehra is the festival of victory of good over evil and truth over falsehood. Baghel said that Lord Ram has a very deep relation with Chhattisgarh.
Lord Ram is worshiped in the form of ‘Bhancha’ (sister’s son) in Chhattisgarh. He announced to provide Rs One lakh for the costumes to the Ramlila troupe of Kumhari. Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, SSP Bandri Narayan Meena and other public representatives and dignitaries were present.
Thereafter, CM attended Vijayadashami in Charoda and Bhilai-3. Speaking on the occasion, Baghel said that Chhattisgarh region is a holy land, it is the place of maternal grandparents of Lord Ram and thus Lord Ram is the nephew of the region. He said that every year we celebrate Vijayadashami and follow the beautiful tradition of making good resolutions.
“You all have been following this tradition for years. Our tradition is our strength. The festival of Vijayadashami reminds us that we should respect the truth”, he said. Chief Minister offered prayers to Lord Rama and Mata Sita. He also interacted with the office bearers of the committees. He said that the festival of Dussehra fills us with great gaiety.
Chief Minister said that the premises of Kaushalya Maa’s temple have also been expanded and beautification work has also been done. Lord Ram is the ideal of all of us and we are fortunate that the holy land of Chhattisgarh has been the home of Lord Ram. This festival of Dussehra inspires us to do better work continuously with auspicious resolutions.
Chief Minister also participated in Vijayadashami celebrations in Bhilai 3 and congratulated the citizens. In his address, the Chief Minister said that the festival of victory of truth over evil reminds us to continue to follow virtuous path. He added that beautiful memories of Ram Katha are associated with this state. The Government of Chhattisgarh is making special efforts to preserve these memories.
