Chhattisgarh 1st in country to pay fees to pvt schools under RTE

School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam recently made online transfer of Rs 101 crore as the reimbursement amount of tuition fee to accounts of 4 thousand 473 private schools in the state. Chhattisgarh is the first state to have made online payment of fees after facilitating admission of 51,985 children
in schools in a systematic manner during COVID situation. So far, 33 lakh 65 thousand 552 students have been benefited under the Right to Education.
Chhattisgarh model is also being adopted in the states of Odisha, Jharkhand and Assam in the matter of Right to Education. In a programme organised in residential office of School Education Minister the Director of Public Instructions and Managing Director of Samagra Shiksha, Jitendra Kumar Shukla, Assistant Director and Nodal Officer of the programme Ashok Kumar Banjara, Assistant Director Mr Prashant Pandey, Bank officials and office bearers of Indus Action were present. School Education Minister Dr Premasai Singh Tekam said that for the first time in Chhattisgarh, the amount of right to education has been provided online to the schools.
