Ch’garh’s schemes, works appreciated at national level

Raipur, Nov 21: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the schemes and works of the Chhattisgarh government were now being appreciated and honored again at the national level. In the matter of cleanliness, Chhattisgarh has achieved the distinction of being the cleanest state at the national level for the third consecutive year.
Baghel was addressing the virtual program of inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan of development works of 11 urban bodies of the state at his residence office here today. On this occasion, he inaugurated 357 development works costing Rs 67 crore 13 lakh and performed bhoomi pujan.
Chhattisgarh has received 67 awards out of 239 awards given by the President in the field of cleanliness, he said and congratulated the residents, office bearers, public representatives of all the urban bodies for this achievement.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister held discussions with public representatives and officials of urban bodies, Parliamentary Secretaries Shishupal Sori, Ambika Singh Deo, Gurudayal Singh Banjare, MLA Satyanarayan Sharma and Vikram Mandavi, who virtually attended the program. All the public representatives congratulated Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for receiving the cleanest state award at the hands of the President.
The representatives of the urban bodies also thanked the Chief Minister for the continuous financial help being given by the State Government for the works of urban development. On this occasion, MLA Satyanarayan Sharma distributed pattas to the beneficiaries under Rajiv Aashray Yojana in Birgaon Municipal Corporation area. The Chief Minister congratulated and extended best wishes to all the beneficiaries who got the pattas (land lease).
He directed the officers to expeditiously provide pattas to about one thousand eligible beneficiaries. The Chief Minister said that during the last three years, his government worked continuously for the development of infrastructure and public facilities in all the urban bodies of the state. ‘We have made many achievements in the matter of urban development as well’, he said. According to him the Godhan Nyay Yojana is the best scheme of the country to promote organic farming.
‘Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country to buy cow dung at Rs 2 per kg and the first state to produce electricity as well as manure from cow dung and develop Gouthans (cow-shelters) in villages as Rural Industrial Parks.
Chhattisgarh has the best Suraji Gaon Yojana in the country which creates maximum employment opportunities. Chhattisgarh is the first state to achieve success by campaigning to eradicate child malnutrition and anemia among mothers and sisters’, Baghel said. Chhattisgarh is also at the forefront of the country in terms of gender equality, he said adding that Chhattisgarh is tje first state to recruit third gender also in government jobs. Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana is being run to enhance the income of farmers, he said.
According to Chief Minister success is achieved only when work is done with sensitivity for development. On this occasion, he mentioned Swami Atmanand English Medium School, Mahtari Dular Yojna, Urban Slum Health Scheme, Mukhya Mantri Hatbazar Clinic Yojna, Dai-Didi Clinic Yojna, Dhanwantri Generic Medical Stores Yojna of Chhattisgarh Government. A target has been set to open one medical college in every district, he informed.
To provide clean drinking water to every household, under the AMRUT Mission, door-to-door tap connections are being provided by continuously strengthening the infrastructure. Keeping in mind the needs of the youth, every good sports ground, good garden, good library have been arranged. Considering the pain of the poor living in the cities, more and more pattas were distributed under the Rajiv Aashray Yojana. The programme was attended by Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey, CM’s advisor Pradeep Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary Subrat Sahoo, Finance and Urban Administration Department Secretary Alarmelmangai D, State Urban Development Agency CEO Soumil Ranjan Choubey and other officers.
