Konta / Sukma, Oct 02: On the auspicious occasion of 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the people’s representatives including Collector Nandanwar and Nagar Panchayat President Sahu, while paying their respectful tributes to Gandhi, garlanded the photo of Mahatma Gandhi in the program organized in the Education City campus.
Reiterating the words of Mahatma Gandhi, Collector Vineet Nandanwar said that whatever change we want to see in this world, it will start only by bringing change in ourselves. He mentioned that Mahatma Gandhi’s personality and his thoughts are relevant in today’s era and all should follow his ideas towards universal brotherhood, non-violence, and cleanliness. Today the campaign of cleanliness is being run all over the world. We should also maintain cleanliness around us, he added.
On the other hand, Municipal Council Sukma President Jagannath Sahu said in his address that we can make our life happy by following the path of non-violence and simple life as told by Mahatma Gandhi. Jagannath Sahu said that by imbibing the life values as told by Mahatma Gandhi, we all can move forward in the path of a simple life.
To realize his dream of clean India, it is necessary that we all maintain cleanliness around us individually, collectively and socially.
