Chamber submits memo to Food Minister

Raipur, Oct 26: State President of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries Amar Parwani, General Secretary Ajay Bhasin, Treasurer Uttam Golchha, Working President Rajendra Jaggi, Vikram Singhdeo, Ram Mandhan, Manmohan Aggarwal informed that the delegation of the Chamber has been decided by the Central Government to impose stock limit on edible oil. In this regard, a memorandum was submitted with the Food Minister Amarjit Singh Bhagat.
Parwani further said that at present the population of Chhattisgarh state is about 3 crore. In view of the business activities in the festive season, different types of edible oils i.e. soybean oil, mustard oil and linseed oil and all these edible oils have different brands. Since the stock limit is more to maintain the range of all these things by a wholesale shopkeeper. Amar Parwani requested the Food Minister, Shri Amarjit Singh Bhagat that the stock limit of edible oils should be fixed at 2500 quintals for wholesalers and 1000 quintals for retailers so that the availability of edible oils remains in the state. Chamber Advisor Amar Gidwani, State President Amar Parwani, Working President Ram Mandhan, Prem Pahuja, Ratan Agarwal and Anand Gupta were prominently present in the delegation.
