Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh felicitated the ten Swacchata Doots (sanitation ambassadors) for their contribution in the field of sanitation and hygiene.
Dr Singh was participating in the concluding ceremony of the near month long Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan in the indoor stadium of Raipur.
The ten sanitation ambassadors felicitated includes Balram Kashyap of village Jhodiabadam in Dantwada, who campaigned well to promote toilet building in village.
Similarly, Kondagaon’s Prakash Churagia also promoted the idea of toilets in his village of Badekanera and made sure that youth and woman contribute to making the village open defecation free.
Raigarh’s Narayan Goswami worked towards ODF sustainability in block Sarangarh while Durg’s Yogita Chandrakar also worked for the same cause in her village Risama.
It need be mentioned that open defecation free is nationwide campaign towards total sanitation and hygiene.
