Certificate programme on “Economics for Civil Services Aspirants” concludes

Bhilai, Oct 13:  The Civil Services Aspirants Club & PG Department of Economics of St Thomas College jointly organised a workshop on ‘Economics for Civil Services Aspirants’. The valedictory programme was graced by Dr Bhupendra Kuldeep, Registrar, Hemchand Yadav University,  Durg.

Prominent guests present were His Grace Dr Joseph Mar Dionysius, Metropolitan of Calcutta Diocese and Manager Bishop, St Thomas College, Rev Fr Dr Joshi Varghese, Diocesan Education Officer and Administrator, St Thomas College, Dr MG Roymon Principal, St Thomas College, Dr Mariam Jacob Convenor of Certificate Programme, St Thomas College, Vinay Singh Programme Coordinator, Dr Uday Pratap Singh & Prashant Pandey of Tejas IAS Academy Bhilai.

At the outset principal Dr MG Roymon welcomed all the dignitaries and aspirants  to the valedictory session. In his welcome address he congratulated the Organising Committee Members for the successful organization of the Certificate Programme and advised the aspirants to make the best from available facilities provided in the college to pursue their  journey in an administrative career.

The Guest of Honour of the programme, Dr Bhupendra Kuldeep, addressed the participants and shared his lifetime experiences giving real life examples of the efforts that he had put in his own areas of expertise and the bottlenecks that he faced to get success. He further emphasized that  right orientation, guidelines, proper materials and smart/intelligent work are always essential to clear the IAS exam in the very first attempt.

Dr Sheeja Varkey, Co-convener and Additional Head of the Department of Commerce gave a brief summary report of the fifteen days programme and highlighted the session with Jojo Mathew, Director Als Academy, Delhi, Vinay Singh, Director Tejas IAS Academy, Dr Uday Pratap Singh & Prashant Pandey faculty from Tejas Academy.

The aspirants shared their views regarding the importance of such programmes and spoke highly on the benefits they had accrued throughout the fifteen days Certificate Programme & expressed their willingness to be a part of many such programmes in the days to come. The Guest distributed the Certificate of Participation to all the aspirants who have attended the certificate programme.

The Programme was conducted by Dr Sujata Koley, Assistant Professor, PG Dept of English and it ended on a high note with a vote of thanks by Dr Aparna Ghosh, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Economics.
