Buses may be off roads from July 13

Raipur, Jul 07:
The Chhattisgarh Transport Union has announced that buses will remain off the road from from July 13 as union has announced an indefinite strike.
Bus operators have demanded to increase the passenger fare by 40%, waive off the tax on off-road buses. In protest against this, they will take a ‘jal samadhi’ in Kharun river at Mahadev Ghat on July 14th. In addition to this. on Thursday, they will take out a rally of buses from the bus stand and will submit their memorandum of demand to the Transport Minister’s bungalow on July 08. Due to the strike of bus operators, passengers may have to face trouble. Meanwhile the bus operators said that they have to bear heavy loss during the Corona period.
Due to which the tax should be waived of the buses which do not ply on the road. Apart from this, 40 percent passenger fare should be increased on buses plying on the road, because the price of diesel has increased.
