BSP’s JLN Hospital & RC launches Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana

Bhilai, Sep 23: SAIL-BSP’s Jawarharlal Nehru Hospital and Research Centre launched the flagship scheme of the Government of India – Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (PM-JAY), Dr Khoobchand Baghel Swasthya Sahayata Yojana & Mukhyamantri Vishesh Sahayata Yojana on Thursday.
The schemes were launched by Anirban Dasgupta, Director In-charge (BSP) and Dr Gambhir Singh Thakur, CMHO, District Durg in the presence of SK Dubey, ED (P&A), Dr SK Issar, ED (M&HS), Dr Ravindranath M, CMO (M&HS), Dr Pramod Binayake, CMO (M&HS) including senior doctors & staff.
Anirban Dasgupta, Director In-charge (BSP) said that they are glad to be associated with the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (PM-JAY), which will benefit and help people. JLN Hospital and RC serves the public and this scheme will aid in providing service to the citizens, he added.
Launched in September 2018 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, PM-JAY is the largest health assurance scheme in the world which aims at providing a health cover of Rs 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.
It is a national public health insurance fund of the Government of India that aims to provide free access to health insurance coverage for low income earners in the country. Dr Khoobchand Baghel Swasthya Sahayata Yojana is a health assurance scheme of Govt of Chhattisgarh aimed at providing treatment benefits to residents of the State.
The aspirational Ayushman Bharat Scheme was launched by Prime Minister of India on September 23, 2018. As such, September 23rd is being celebrated as Ayushman Bharat Diwas. On the occasion of third anniversary of the scheme, the scheme was launched at the Jawarharlal Nehru Hospital and Research Centre, Sector-9.
The programme was launched in three verticals : ENT, Eye and Dental. A beneficiary of the PMJAY who holds an Ayushman Card will be eligible for free indoor treatment of diseases of Eye (Cornea & Cataract), diseases of ENT (Micro surgery of ear, Surgery of sinus and nose, endoscopic sinus surgery, Tracheostomy surgery, Facio maxillary surgery, Micro laryngial surgery, surgery of thyroid, parotid, submandibular, surgery of tonsil & adenoid, laryngoscopy and oesophagoscopy) and diseases of Dental (Extraction of tooth and treatment of fractured jaw by wiring).
