BSP’s CSR organises ‘SAMVAD’ programme to prevent COVID in villages

Bhilai, Jul 19: SAIL-BSP has taken several measures to prevent COVID. Recently, SAIL-BSP’s CSR department organised ‘SAMVAD’ programme for Sarpanches of 21 Model Steel Villages to prevent COVID at CSR office premises. Dr Gambhir Singh Thakur, District Chief Medical and Health Officer was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Saurabh Sinha, GM (HRD), BSP was the Special Guest.
The programme was presided over by Shivrajan, GM (CSR). The programme was coordinated by Sunil Chaurasiya, AGM(CSR). The programme began with lamp lighting by Dr Gambhir Singh Thakur, District Chief Medical and Health Officer and Saurabh Sinha, GM (HRD), BSP. Shivrajan, GM (CSR) gave the welcome address.
Chief Guest Dr Gambhir Singh Thakur in his address said that BSP has contributed significantly in preventing COVID, its control and treatment. Any amount of praise for BSP is not enough, he said. BSP is all geared up for COVID’s 3rd wave and has setup all equipped JUMBO COVID care centre, he added.
COVID related items were distributed to different villages including 20 litres Sanitiser, 200 Masks, Sanitiser machine etc. The villagers also were given advice by Specialists to spread awareness about COVID.
Dr Sugam Sawant, COVID I/c (Durg) and District Training Officer presented information related to prevention and controlling spread of COVID. He urged the audience to take adequate precautions. Dr CBS Banjare, District Malaria Officer shared information on prevention from Dengue and controlling its spread. Both experts also answered queries from the audience.
The SAMVAD programme played a special role in disseminating information for preventing spread of COVID among Sarpanches and Panches of 21 Model Steel Villages. The Sarpanches expressed their hopes and aspirations from BSP. Discussions were held in detail about preventing spread of COVID.
Vishal Chandrakar from Devbadloda, Anjita Gopesh from Pathora, Pratibha Dewangan from Bodegaon, Sadhna Verma from Mehakakala, Chakshuprabha Mahipal from Dumardih, Balkishen Thakur from Piparchedi, Manju Yadu from Katro, Vaman Kumar Sahu from Pahuara, Gunjeshwari Sahu from Borigarka, Rekha Chaturvedi from Jhanjgiri, Mantora Siware from Dhania, Atmaram Gajpal from Chetuva, Purshottam Madharia from Panhador, Suman Thakur from Dhaba, Rajkumar Sahu from Khapri etc were present on the occasion.
The programme was compered by Rajni Rajak while the Vote of Thanks was given by Sunil Chaurasiya, AGM(CSR). Rajni Rajak kept the audience involved with her rendition of songs. SAIL-BSP is continuously striving for bring a meaningful change in people’s lives through its CSR activities.
