In a shocking incident that unfolded in Kabirdham, a bridegroom and his brother lost their lives in a blast that occurred during a home theater testing. The police have confirmed that the blast was not accidental but a premeditated plot to murder the bridegroom and his newlywed wife. The culprit behind the heinous act was none other than the bride’s lover, Sanju Markam, hailing from Balaghat district in Madhya Pradesh.
According to the police investigation, Markam had gifted a sound system filled with explosives to his girlfriend at her wedding, which went off during the home theater testing, injuring four members of the family and killing the bridegroom and his brother. The accused admitted to his crime during questioning and revealed that he had a long-standing grudge against the bridegroom for marrying his girlfriend.
Markam, who is already married and has two children, had experience using explosive materials from his previous job in a mining area. He used this experience to execute his deadly plan. The police are currently investigating further to ascertain if anyone else was involved in the conspiracy.
