Bol Bum Sewa Samiti to celebrate Mahashivratri in a grand manner

Bhilai, Feb 14: Bol Bum Sewa and Kalyan Samiti is organising Mahashivratri celebrations in a grand manner for the fifteenth consecutive year. The marriage procession of Bhole Baba will be taken out in a magnificent manner and the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati will be performed.

While addressing media persons here at Supela on Monday, Bol Bum Samiti President Daya Singh informed that this mega religious event will be held on the occasion of Mahashivratri on February 18. He added that the grandeur of this event attracts the devotees from different districts of the state. The organisers are continuously working to make the event a grand success. Several dignitaries have been invited in the programme.

This year also, the organisers have made special arrangements. The grandeur of the event can be gauged from the fact that till now more than 31000 invitation cards have been distributed. Daya Singh informed that to make this procession successful, the office bearers, youth wing, women’s wing and members of the Bol Bum Seva and Kalyan Samiti are working for the last three months. They have invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh; Union Ministers, Governors, former Cabinet Ministers, eminent citizens and politicians.

Speaking about the attractions of the programme, Daya Singh informed that tableaux of Kerala have been included in the marriage procession of Lord Shiva. The artists will be dressed as Lord Shiva, Maa Parvati, Ganesha, Lord Hanuman and other deities. Tableaux from Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh will also be the centre of attraction. Tableaux from different districts of Chhattisgarh will also participate. Devotees will have glimpses of Ram Darbar, Shri Krishna Leela, Shiv Tandav, Shiv – Parvati Vivah, Radha Krishna and much more. Raut Nacha, Akhada, Panthi, DJ, Dhumaal, Band Party, etc will create a devotional atmosphere. For the first time, a laser show of Mumbai will be staged here.

The procession is scheduled to begin at 14:00 hrs from Indira Nagar (Hathkhoj) and prayers will be offered at Ram Janki Mandir. The procession will move across Transport Nagar, Canal Road, Kartikeya Chowk, Bol Bum Chowk, Nandi Triangle, Zone 1 Shiv mandir and conclude at Durga Puja Ground in Khursipar where the marriage will be conducted.

Office bearers and members of the organising committee including Women’s wing president Manju Mishra, Pushpa Singh, Sunita Devi, Rajwinder Kaur, Tarini Sharma, Bilotin Jaiswal, Hemlata Bisai, Mukesh Sharma, Pradeep Soni, Nandu Gupta and others were present in the press conference.
