BMC team on roads for smooth parking arrangements in markets

Bhilai, Oct 28: In view of the festival season, the team of Bhilai Municipal Corporation is engaged at the field level to rectify the traffic and parking system in the markets.
This is being done in keeping with the decision taken at a meeting of the Bhilai Municipal Commissioner Prakash Surve, Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Dhruv and Chamber of Commerce and Traders Association.
The staff of the Revenue Department visited every market and asked the people to park properly and the road side vendors who had raised tents and had spread the goods on roads were asked to remove them as a final appeal.
Even before this, an appeal was made by the corporation, police and traders to make arrangements for parking and security during the festive season by conducting joint inspections. Lights are being installed in the market as per requirement by the corporation for night illumination in the
markets.
Assistant Revenue Officers Malkhan Sori and Sharad Dubey said that during the inspection of the market area such as Power House Circular Market, Link Road, Jawahar Market and Supela to Gada Chowk they found the shops had extended their display on both sides of the road.
The shopkeepers were asked to remove things from the road. Certain areas are being marked by the corporation administration for the road side vendors so that the crowd gathering during the festival season can be controlled and citizens can celebrate the festival of happiness with rituals in a safe environment.
The corporation and the police administration have also identified parking places for the vehicles of the customers and shopkeepers and their staff in all the market areas.
