BMC takes action against attempted possession of sump well

Bhilai, Sep 23: The special team of revenue department of Bhilai Municipal Corporation on Thursday took action against Mittal Hospital in Nehru Nagar Zone for attempted possession of the Sump Well. A boundary wall that had been constructed by the hospital and engulfed the sump well area (of corporation) was brought down.
Similarly, the team of Vaishali Nagar Zone 02 demolished a wall in Camp 01 area and removed encroachment on the drain line. In both the proceedings, the material was confiscated after being eviction. Here it needs a mention that the new Commissioner Prakash Surve has given instructions to the officers/employees to crack down on encroachment, illegal constructions in the corporation area.
A special squad has been formed for this. Assistant Revenue Officer of Nehru Nagar Zone Sharad Dubey revealed that on the instructions of Zone Commissioner Manish Gaikwad, action was taken against the illegal occupants.
He said that the Mittal Hospital management had surrounded the Pump House land behind the hospital and took possession of it which actually belonged to the Corporation. The revenue department team reached the spot after receiving complaint and the material was confiscated after demolition. Similarly, demolition proceedings were also conducted in Zone 02. Assistant Revenue Officer Anil Meshram said that in Vrindanagar Camp 01, Hinchlal Kushwaha was constructing a house while occupying the drain space. A complaint in this regard was given by Panchdev Singh.
On the basis of this complaint, the team of the corporation reached the spot and demolished the ongoing construction and the drain was freed so that there is no problem of drainage from the drain. According to the instructions of the Corporation Commissioner Prakash Surve, immediate action is being taken on receipt of information about illegal construction or encroachment anywhere in the zone area. During the proceedings, the employees of the Revenue Department and Demolition Squad of the Zone were present.
