BMC removes encroachments at two spots

Bhilai, Aug 18: Bhilai Municipal Corporation is maintaining close watch across its limits and is regularly taking action against encroachments. In the latest development, the Revenue Department razed encroachments made at two spots in Zone 2 area.
One of the encroachers had dared to block the entire road by constructing a wall. It needs to be mentioned here that BMC Commissioner Rituraj Raghuvanshi has constituted a special team to crack down on encroachment and illegal constructions.
On the instructions of Zone 02 Commissioner Pooja Pillai, this team tool action against the illegal constructions in Vrinda Nagar and Teen Darshan Mandir area. Zone 02 Assistant Revenue Officer Anil Meshram informed that on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Sunil Agrahari, the special squad tool action at two places which were illegally occupied. In Ward 19, near the Teen Darshan Mandir, Nathu Lal Patil had built toilets over the public drain and the door of the entrance of the house was also built over the drain.
This illegal construction was obstructing the flow of drain water. Acting on a complaint, the revenue department and the enforcement team reached the spot and demolished the illegal construction.
In Ward 17 Vrinda Nagar Camp 01, one Upendra Singh had closed a road by constructing a wall. On receiving the information, the team reached and demolished the wall built on the road.
Deputy Engineer Siddharth Sahu, Balkrishna Naidu, Police team and employees of Zone 02 were present.
