BMC: Mayor & Commissioner review various projects, instruct to expedite

Bhilai, Oct 13: The project of several big projects are either being prepared or have already been prepared in the interest of the city of Bhilai. On Thursday, departmental review of these projects, including those being covered under 15th Finance Commission and the work related to the project, was done jointly by Mayor Neeraj Pal and Municipal Commissioner Rohit Vyas. In the joint meeting the duo taking detailed information about the 15th Finance Commission and the works related to the project, directed to complete the departmental formalities and process at the earliest. The duo said that execution should be done in coordination for the projects on which approval has already been taken at the government level and also for the works whose approval are pending at the government level or are pending elsewhere. Under the 15th Finance Commission, work is to be done in the city towards air quality improvement, water management and solid waste management. From the environmental point of view, the city residents will get many benefits due to this. For this, the installation of modern machines will also be done, prior to which the officials will also give its presentation. Review was also done on the works for which no objection is yet to be obtained from the BSP area due to this the work is stuck. Instructions were given to obtain the no-objection certificate at the earliest. The present status of sewerage, drinking water, sanitation etc. in BSP area was also reviewed and detailed information was asked to be prepared. Instructions have also been given in the meeting to prepare a proposal for the construction of an open auditorium for cultural and other programs in Civic Centre. The Mayor and the Corporation Commissioner asked the concerned to prepare a proposal for repair and maintenance of roads under Bhilai Corporation area and complete the departmental process at the earliest. Additional Commissioner Ashok Dwivedi, Superintending Engineer Deepak Kumar Joshi, Executive Engineer Sunil Dubey, Health Officer Dharmendra Mishra, Assistant Engineer Ajay Gaur, Mayor’s personal secretary Wasim Khan and Arpit Banjare were present at the meeting.
