BMC demolishes underconstruction houses

Bhilai, Feb 27: On Saturday, the enforcement squad of Bhilai Municipal Corporation demolished an under-construction house which was being built illegally. BMC administration is taking strict action against the encroachers, illegal constructions and construction without permission. Corporation Commissioner Rituraj Raghuvanshi had directed the officials to take strict action against such people.
On Saturday, the team of Zone 01 demolished the DPC level of the house which was being constructed illegally. Construction work was being conducted by one Sindhu Bai in Kosanagar without taking building permission from BMC. The team came to know about more such constructions in the vicinity. BMC has sought documents from all the concerned persons regarding the constructions.
Assistant Revenue Officer of Zone No 01, Sharad Dubey informed that house was being constructed by Sindhu Bai on the side of National Highway without taking the building permission from the Bhilai Municipal Corporation. Few days ago, BMC team had reached the site and had stopped the construction works. The raw material was also seized from the spot. But instead of seeking building permission, Sindhu Bai once again stated the construction works.
On instructions of Zone Commissioner Sunil Agrahari, the team of the revenue department reached the spot and demolished the DPC level construction. Three truck loads of debris were seized from the spot. In the meanwhile, some people tried to prevent the BMC team from taking action. However, when the BMC team explained them, they returned back.
BMC has received complaint regarding such illegal constructions in Kosanagar. BMC team has asked the people to produce documents of their constructions. After examining the documents, action will be taken accordingly.
