BJP to focus on local issues against Congress govt

Core Group chalks out strategy to strengthen Organization

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Core Group members meet was held at party headquarters situated at Kushabhau Thakre premises to chalk out strategy for the upcoming Organisational exercise ahead of the next Legislative Assembly polls.
Central leader in-charge of party affairs Om Prakash Mathur, BJP General Secretary Shivprakash and Co in-charge Nitin Nabin were also present during the meeting chaired by the State BJP President Arun Sao.
Senior leaders including the National BJP Vice President and former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel, senior Legislators Brijmohan Agrawal and Punnulal Mohile also gave their views on proposed programmes of the party.
At the outset, the members of the Core Group briefed the central leaders with the exercise undertaken during the last few months.
Arun Sao claimed that the recent demonstration against the state government over Housing Scheme for the weaker section of society has changed political scenario.
Former CM Dr Raman Singh said that the BJP would observe Social Security Fortnight after making a work plan and added that BJP has decided to focus on local issues as the primary agenda of the party is to prepare for the upcoming Legislative Assembly polls. He said that agitation would be launched on local issues and added that Liquor prohibition and Unemployment would be the main agenda of the party against the state government.
Central leaders said that victory of BJP is essential for the development of Chhattisgarh as Congress has derailed the development process.
