BJP stages demo to protest Kawardha violence

Raipur, Oct 09: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday staged a day-long dharna to register protest against the alleged one-sided action against the party workers on Kawardha violence.
BJP workers expressed their anguish over the government patronage towards those who were responsible for the Kawardha violence.
Addressing the demonstration near Budhatalab here, the Raipur South MLA Brijmohan Agrawal said that the BJP has never spoiled the atmosphere over religion during the 15 years of BJP rule in Chhattisgarh now curfew was imposed. While Kawardha was burning, the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was resorting to politics in Utter Pradesh and added that exodus is the old habit of Baghel.
BJP spokesperson Rajesh Munat came down heavily on the police administration over undue patronage given to a particular community during the dispute over flag in Kawardha. Had the administration being neutral, the situation would had been under control, he added.
BJP spokesperson Sanjay Shrivastava, Sacchidanand Upasane and several other senior leaders of the party addressed the public during demonstration.
Meanwhile, the BJP President Vishnu Deo Sai has registered protest over the statement given by Congress Ministers on the Kawardha violence.
