BJP questions adamant stand of Singhdeo over Covaxin

Raipur, Mar 02: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday questioned the decision of Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singhdeo for his reluctance to use Covaxin of Bharat Biotech for the people and alleged that Singhdeo is against the use of Made in India vaccine brand at the behest of his party high command in New Delhi;
Addressing a press conference at party office here, the BJP Medicos Cell President Dr Vimal Chopda said that the BJP would be forced to launch agitation against Chhattisgarh government if it fails to improve the vaccination drive in Chhattisgarh.
Dr Chopda said that while the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is himself taking the Covaxin to create awareness among people, the Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singhdeo is adamant to not to use it till the third phase of trial is over.
He said that people of Chhattisgarh are at receiving end due to adamant approach of Chhattisgarh Minister, he added.
Talking further, he said that Government is callous over the corona as vaccination could not be taken up as required.
He said that Congress government should take prompt measures towards the vaccination of people.
