BJP leaders to hold Ch’garh level dharna today

Raipur, May 20: Chhattisgarh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders will hold state-level demonstration at their residence on Friday afternoon against Chhattisgarh government to register protest against filing of FIR against former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra over the controversial Toolkit issue.
BJP Vice President and MLA Shivratan Sharma made the above statement while addressing a virtual press conference here on Thursday afternoon.
Sharma claimed that the Congress through their party workers and supporters had launched Toolkit to malign India amidst Covid 19 pandemic to gain political mileage whereas the Chhattisgarh Government is patronizing the campaign by registering FIR against former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh who had exposed the campaign of Congress in social media.
He further added that Chhattisgarh Congress is misusing the power by registering cases against the BJP leaders instead of being shameful on being exposed over the anti-national conspiracy. He said that step of Congress government to register FIR against former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh over the controversial Toolkit is an attempt to suppress the opposition voice. He said that BJP would not tolerate the approach and would raise voice against it.
He said that Chhattisgarh level demonstration would be held on Friday under which the party workers would stage demo in front of their respective residence.
BJP MLA further stated that instead of giving priority and attention to the Covid 19 vaccination campaign, the Congress government has resorting to suppress opposition.
He added that through demonstration on Friday, the BJP workers would challenge the Congress government to arrest them also.
