BJP leaders arrested during protest against Religious Conversion

Raipur, Sep 28: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday launched aggressive campaign against the alleged Religious Conversion under the patronage of Congress government in Chhattisgarh. Prominent leaders of BJP including Raipur South MLA Brijmohan Agrawal, Raipur Parliamentarian Sunil Soni, BJP President of Raipur Urban Unit Shrichand Sundrani and BJP Spokesperson Rajesh Munat started the foot march from their respective Legislative constituencies with the party workers to gherao CM House to register protest against the increase in the Religious Conversion cases across Chhattisgarh.
BJP workers led by MLA Brijmohan Agrawal were stopped near Sapre School Road after they brought down the barricade near Budheshwar Temple chowk. Speaking on the occasion, the Raipur South MLA said that they would not stop holding protest against the Congress government till appropriate steps are taken to check the Religious Conversions.
Similarly, the BJP spokesperson and former Minister Rajesh Munat said that only assurance have been given whereas no steps have been taken to check the Religious Conversion. He further alleged that those who have registered protest against the Conversion are in the Jail whereas those involved in Conversion are moving freely under the patronage of Congress regime. He said that they would continue aggressive campaign against state government till the Religious Conversion is stopped in Chhattisgarh.
BJP leaders were arrested and kept at temporary jail established at Sapre School Ground after they attempted to break the barricades while marching towards CM House.
