BJP forms committee to probe Mahasamund family suicide

Raipur, Jun 10: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday constituted a six-member team under the chairmanship of senior MLA Shivratan Sharma to investigate into the reason behind suicide committed by a woman and five other members of the family in Mahasamund.
BJP State Unit President Visnhu Deo Sai has directed the committee to submit the report within three days after investigating the circumstances which led to family suicide in village Bemcha in Mahasamund District. While Bhatapara Legislator Shivratan Sharma is the Chairman of the committee, the other members who have been included in the probe committee are Mahasamund Lok Sabha member Chunnilal Sahu, former MLAs Devji Patel, Poonam Chandrakar and Dr Vimal Chopra and Mahasamund District BJP President Rupkumari Chaudhary.
BJP State Unit President Vishnu Deo Sai said that the state government too should probe the mass suicide by the family and stressed on the need to take concrete step at government level to check further repeat of such incident.
