BJP focusing to strengthen Polling Booths thru Volunteers

Raipur, Aug 01: With the objective to check the close fight in the vote share with the principal opposition Congress, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has focused on strengthening of Shakti Kendra (Polling Booths) across the state ahead of the next Legislative Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. To impart boost to the above campaign, the BJP President Amit Shah would be addressing a convention of these volunteers as well as Co-ordinators during his proposed visit to Chhattisgarh on August 22.
Concern over the scenario, the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh too has advocated for the need to work on increasing the vote percentage of BJP to 51% against the recent trend of around 38% in last few Legislative Assembly elections. Dr Singh had made the above statement in reference to the target of 65+ seats in 90-member Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly as appeal made by the Party President Amit Shah.
According to sources, BJP President Amit Shah during his proposed visit to Chhattisgarh on August 22 may review the target given to the Organizational leaders in the process of achieving 65+ seats.
Senior Cabinet Minister Brijmohan Agrawal during his recent address at the party programme, had asked the senior leaders to take the responsibility as Co-ordinators in the booth falling under their respective residential areas. Aim behind the above task is to ensure that Organization at Polling Booth level gets strong which would key in ensuring higher voting per cent age in favour of the saffron brigade.

During his proposed visit, the BJP President Amit Shah would hold series of meeting with top leaders as well as may direct the key Organizational leaders to chalk out guidelines for the distribution of party tickets for the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections. Shah during his visit, would also delegate responsibility to top leaders including the Ministers for the election preparedness.
