BJP Core Group meets amidst speculation for drastic changes

Amidst speculation over drastic changes in the Chhattisgarh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Core Group, the senior leaders on Saturday held meeting to chalk out strategy for the upcoming polls in presence of BJP in-charge of party affairs in Chhattisgarh Om Prakash Mathur.
Prominent among those present during the Core Group meet were former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, State BJP President Arun Sao, Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Narayan Chandel, Rajya Sabha member Saroj Pandey, senior MLA Dharmlal Kaushik, former MLAs Gaurishanker Agrawal and Vikram Usendi and former BJP President Vishnu Deo Sai. Apart from them, the Organizational General Secretary Pawan Sai and other three General Secretaries including Vijay Sharma, Kedar Kashyap and OP Chaudhary were also present during the meeting.
It is notable that the speculations are rife over changes in Core Group which is the Apex committee of Chhattisgarh BJP which gives consent to key proposals. Sources said that former MLAs Vikram Usendi and Gaurishanker Agrawal are likely to make way for fresh faces in the key committee ahead of the next Legislative Assembly polls.
