Addressing a joint press conference at party office situated at Ekatma Parishar, the Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Narayan Chandel and former Rajya Sabha member Ramvichar Netam claimed that the above outcome has been reached on the basis of the investigation report formed by the party on the recent incident in Jashpur. They said that the Pahari Tribals were not even having job card which exposes the government’s role of public welfare and added that they had not even received the additional 5 Kg rice eligible from the central fund for the month of February.
BJP leaders added that the tribal family members who recently committed were not having any livelihood opportunities which exposes the failure of state government. They further alleged that more than 26 thousand people have committed under the Congress regime. Instead of taking appropriate measures, the Congress has resorted to cheap politics on the issue. They said that online with the compensation provided to the farmer from Utter Pradesh, the Congress government should provide a compensation of Rs 50 lakh each to the dependents. They further raised demand to provide better food and health facilities to the Korva Tribals which are considered to be primitive.
