Better work towards promoting local tourism in Chhattisgarh: Tamradhwaj Sahu

Tourism Minister inspects Hotel Johar and Institute of Hotel Management

Raipur, Jun 30:
State Tourism Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu has said that in view of the current status of Covid-19 in the country, the State Government has decided that at present, work should be done to promote local tourism in Chhattisgarh.
He said that according to the guidelines of the state government, arrangements for hotels, motels and resorts for the night stay of tourists in tourist places with various facilities for local tourists should be made so that better work can be done in the direction of promoting local tourism in the state.
Tourism Minister Sahu inspected Hotel Johar Chhattisgarh and Institute of Hotel Management of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board on Tuesday. For the reconstruction of Hotel Johar, the concerned authorities were instructed to prepare a proposal so that Hotel Johar Chhattisgarh can be operated soon for tourists. The Tourism Minister also inspected the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Nava Raipur, run by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board.
To start this institute from the current session itself, he immediately instructed the concerned officer to complete all the formalities so that teaching training for students can be started from this session at Hotel Management Institute. During the inspection, the Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Smt. Iffat Arra and General Manager of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Mr. Sunil Awasthi were also present.
