Banking model of CSC is proving to be a milestone in the empowerment of villagers

Raipur, Dec 05: “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” is being celebrated across the country on the auspicious occasion of 75th anniversary of India’s independence. In this episode, a state level program was organized by CSC e-Governance Service India Limited in the auditorium of New Circuit House.
Chief guest of the program, Mr. Sanjay Shukla, Managing Director, Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Association said in his address that the amount of about 1000 crores is being given to the Tendupatta collectors directly in their bank accounts. Along with this, according to the intention of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, an amount of about 10000 crores is provided to the residents of rural areas. Rural citizens are getting cash payments at their homes by using information technology through bank friends operated by CSC e-Governance Service India Limited in every village of the state.
The special guest of the program, Mr. KC Devasenapati, Director, Directorate of Census Affairs said that there is a huge potential for the empowerment of the villagers through CSCs, and the CSCs of Chhattisgarh will prove to be the best in service delivery in the entire country. In the program, Mr. Amitabh Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Chips informed that internet is being provided in all the gram panchayats of the state through Bharat Net project. Special guest, Vkesh Agrawal informed that the women of state-run women self-help groups are being made bank sakhi and cash payment is being made to the rural residents from their bank account till they reach home.
This system is proving to be a boon for many such areas where there is no ATM facility.
State Head of CSC e-Governance Service India Limited, Mr. Madan Mohan Raut informed that Ayushman card of more than 1 crore people has been made in the state through CSC, along with this e-shram card of 42 lakh workers has been made. In future also, continuous efforts will be made through CSC for the empowerment of the residents of rural areas. The CSC operators who came from almost all the districts of the state were felicitated by the chief guest and all the distinguished guests by giving citation and medals for their excellent work.
On this occasion, Mr. B. Anand Babu, Additional Managing Director, Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Association, Mr. Vivek Singh, Joint Chief Executive Officer, Chips, Mr. Nilesh Kumar Soni, Joint Chief Executive Officer, Chips, CSC Jai Narayan Patel, Paritosh Dongaonkar, Shashank Singh and officers of CSC State Office, District Managers and CSC entrepreneurs from the districts were present.
