Bankimongara to have new College, Satrenga to be developed as int’nl tourist site

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel presented his third annual budget for 2021-22 in Vidhan Sabha on Monday. In this budget also he offered many new development works and projects for Korba district.
CM in the budget for 2021-22 made declaration of opening new College in Bankimongara. The students from Bankimongara and nearby rural areas were demanding opening of College for Higher Education in the region for last many years and with opening of this College in the region they will not have to go to Korba or Katghora for studies.
Apart from this CM also made declaration of forming new tehsil to Ajgarbahar and Barpali. With formation of tehsil in both these areas, the people will not have to go to Korba or Kartala to get revenue related works done. After formation of Pali sub-division, there is provision for establishing Sub-division office in Pali for betterment of revenue works and this has been included in the budget.
CM Baghel also made declaration of ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to family members of journalists in case of any accidental death and earlier this amount was Rs 2 lakh only. CM has also made a provision of Rs 100 crore for construction of Medical College in Korba. Apart from this there is also provision for one new block in Korba and one Girl’s hostel.
In the state’s budget, CM made declaration for opening of 119 New English Medium Schools in the state and out of which three Schools are in Korba district. With opening of these new English medium schools, the total number would rise to six in the district. Three new Swamy Atmanand English Medium Schools will be opened in the Government Higher Secondary Schools of Kartala, Podi and Katghora.
Satrenga to be developed as international tourism destination:
A lot of provision in the budget has been made for expansion of tourism facilities in the state and CM Bhupesh Baghel has made declaration to develop Satrenga tourism site as per international standards and this was mentioned in the budget. This is another step of establishing Korba in the international tourism map and in the water front of Hasdeo- Bango Reservoir many world-class adventure sport activities will be started.
This at one place where will provide new identity to Satrenga on international front, on the other, it will open new avenues for employment for local youths. This particular declaration by CM is to bring down his tourism policy at ground-level. Satrenga will not only benefit Korba, but entire state.
