Raipur, Aug 26: There are all sorts of speculations over the likely change of guard in the state even after clarification by CM Bhupesh Baghel on his return from Delhi yesterday. With political developments taking place thereafter, it is believed the party High Command has called CM Bhupesh Baghel to Delhi tomorrow and this is expected to be the final meeting and some decision is expected to be taken in this final meeting.
So the question now looming large in the state’s political scenario is whether CM Bhupesh Baghel would tender resignation so easily, so as to share his term for two & half years in the office and allow TS Singhdeo to be the next CM of State or whether the formula of Dy. CM would be adopted to settle issue with all factions in the state Congress. This will be known only when CM Bhupesh Baghel would hold meeting with party High Command in Delhi and give clear-cut statement from Delhi itself. There are reports that in the meeting held with Rahul Gandhi and PCC State in-Charge PL Punia in Delhi, CM Bhupesh Baghel came back confidently to continue his term in the office and for this there was show of strength at the airport, wherein 42 party MLAs along with party workers and leaders from State PCC were present to welcome CM Bhupesh Baghel and show their support to his term in the office. To questions from media on his return from Delhi Baghel assertively said that it is due to order from the high command (Sonia Gadhi and Rahul Gandhi) that he is continuing as CM of state and would adhere to their order as they say in the near future as well.
But this sudden development of Baghel being called back to Delhi on Friday, with reports of TS Singh Deo staying back even after CM’s return has led to all sorts of speculations in the political circle about the need for tomorrow ‘s meeting and its likely outcome.
The other news is that meeting with three Ministers was held at CM House on Wednesday and it lasted for three hours and today also meeting of 17-18 MLAs was held at Circuit House and they all exuded confidence on CM Bhupesh Baghel’s leadership in the state.
Meanwhile in order to strike a balance between two stalwarts, the party High Command may hand over some major responsibility to TS Singhdeo and sources in Delhi informed that there could be change in the state cabinet as well and here few MLAs supporting Singhdeo may get berth. Meanwhile there is lot of uncertainty on this issue at one place where CM Bhupesh Baghel is all set to prove his mettle with pressure tactics, on the other MLAs too are expected to leave for Delhi in support of either of the two claimants to settle the score in Delhi.
