Baghel reiterates commitment for tribal upliftment

Dhamtari, Jun 07: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel during tour to Dhamtari paid obeisance to Maa Aangarmoti Mandir near Gangrel and took part in the tribal sammelan on occasion of foundation day of Akhil Bharatiya Gondwana Gond Mahasabha and paid courtesy visit to heads of tribals. Addressing the gathering of ‘Mahasabha’, CM Baghel said that all possible assistance will be given for development and upliftment of Adivasi Samaj and the laws for safety and security of tribals will be strictly adhered. CM said that as per provisions under Forest Right’s Act, the tribals will be allotted land lease of the forest land on which they are living. On this occasion he made a declaration of general holiday on occasion of World Tribal Day on August 09. He said that for safeguarding Gondi dialect, teachers of ‘Gondi’ will be appointed and it will be included in the course of primary school in the region.
On this occasion Tribal Welfare Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam, Rajay Sabha MP Ramvichar Netam, National President Gondwana Gond Mahasabha – Shishupal Sori, MLA duo Manoj Mandavi, Santram Netam, Mohan Markam, Chandan Kashyap, Lakheshwar Baghel, Khelsai Singh, Laxmi Dhruv, Anoop Nag, Gulab Kamro, Vikram Mandavi, Indrashah Mandavi, Damrudhar Pujari, former MP Sohan Pottai, Madhav Singh Dhruv, head of Samaj Navan Singh Mandavi and other citizens and members of tribal community were present in large number.
