Baghel pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, Shastri

Raipur, Oct 02: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid tributes to Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister late Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversary. The tribute programme organised at CM House was also attended by School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam.
Remembering the role of Mahatma Gandhi in country’s freedom struggle, Chief Minister Baghel said that state government was making efforts to build Nava (new) Chhattisgarh by following Bapu’s dream of Gram Swaraj and self reliance and his ideals. Remembering former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri the Chief Minister said that late Shastri dedicated his entire life to the service of the needy and country. Late Shastri was an epitom of simplicity, Baghel added.

Unveils statue of Mahatma Gandhi at RMC headquarters

Raipur, Oct 02: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today unveiled statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Mahatma Gandhi Sadan in Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) headquarters on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. He also paid humble tribute to Bapu by offering flowers on his statue.
Also present on the occasion were Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey, School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam, Mayor Aijaz Dhebar, Lok Sabha MP Sunil Soni, former Minister and Senior MLA Satyanarayan Sharma, MLA Brijmohan Agrawal, RMC Speaker Pramod Dubey, opposition leader in RMC Meenal Choubey, Raipur Development Authority Chairman Subhash Dhuppad along with MiC members, corporators, Municipal Commissioner Prabhat Malik and other officials and staff of RMC.
