Baghel meets state MLAs in party’s office

Raipur/ New Delhi, Aug 27: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel after meeting the Rahul Gandhi and AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi in Delhi, met party MLAs from State at AICC headquarters in Delhi in the evening. Baghel informed that he held talks on development works in state’s and on political scenario and on administrative issues as well. During the day-long development, the state’s Health Minister TS Singh Deo was not present, even though he was camping in Delhi. On this particular incident the Singhdeo faction is keeping absolutely mum.
It is notable here that prior to holding meeting with Rahul Gandhi, CM Bhupesh Baghel has made it clear that Congress government in state is absolutely in safe hands and that all the MLAs are stands in favour of party’s leadership.
It was after meeting with Rahul Gandhi, CM Baghel left for party’s headquarters at 7:00 pm and here he around more than 50 party MLAs along with few Ministers.
CM Bhupesh Baghel reached Delhi on Friday afternoon and prior to this arrival of many cabinet ministers and MLAs continued till evening hours. Despite denial from the in-charge, the MLAs started camping in Delhi a day in advance.
55 MLAs reached Punia’s residence in a bus:
It was in the afternoon, 55 MLAs of state reached PCC State in-Charge and General Secretary PL Punia’s residence. According to sources the discussions here continued for about one hou and after which list of MLAs in support of CM Bhupesh Baghel was handed over. During this meeting and on arrival at Delhi, the MLAs sort of remained silent and even after questioning from media few MLAs said that they have come to meet their leader here. During discussions few MLAs even exuded confidence on leadership of CM Bhupesh Baghel. It was late in the evening that CM Bhupesh Baghel had long deliberations with Rahul, Priyanka and Punia at Rahul Gandhi’s residence.

Before leaving for Delhi, CM Bhupesh Baghel speaking to media persons at Raipur Airport said that he has received message from organisational general secretary KC Venugopal and it is for this he is going to Delhi. He refused to comment anything on Minister TS Singhdeo. To a question as to why the MLAs are camping in Delhi, Baghel said that anyone can go to meet their leader in Delhi. Due to corona there was less of visit to Delhi. He said that when they were not in power then also they served to the people and are continuing the same even after coming to power. Today the farmers, tribals, poor, labourers and traders and people from all category are feeling that it is ‘their’ government in power.

Four Ministers stayed in Raipur, Mayors also leave
In the day-long development in Delhi, all the Cabinet Minister except Jaisingh Agrawal, Premsai Singh and Umesh Patel did not go to Delhi. Dr Premsai Singh could not go due to meeting in the secretariat with Union Minister Arjun Munda.
On the other hand, PHE Minister got information when he was on tour to Bilha and he returned from Simga and left for Delhi. Jaisingh Agrawal also could not leave for Delhi due to some departmental work. On the other hand, by evening Mayor Ejaj Dhebar and Mayors from all other Municipal Corporations started leaving for Delhi and by night many had already reached Delhi.
