AWGP despatches 30 tons rice for disaster victims in Uttarakhand

Bhilai, Sep 22: For helping the victims of floods and natural calamities in various places of Uttarakhand, 30 tonnes of rice has been sent by the members of All World Gayatri Pariwar of Durg, Bhilai, Bemetara and Balod.
The truck was flagged off from Shiv Gayatri Temple Risali Sector. Chhattisgarh-Orissa zone in-charge Dilip Panigrahi and sub-zone coordinator SP Singh were especially present on the occasion. It needs to be mentioned here that Uttarakhand Disaster Management Center has been set up at AWGP Headquarters in Shantikunj, Haridwar.
AWGP Co-Coordinator Dheeraj Lal Taunk, Loknath Sahu, Chief Trustee of Shiv Gayatri Mandir Risali – Ramadhar Mahilang, Jitendra Prasad, Anil Wankhede and others were present. Gayatri Parivar activist Mohan Umre informed that due to heavy rains and landslides in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand, the residents of the Chardham Yatra route and the pilgrims have to suffer every year.
To provide immediate help to the people, the Uttarakhand administration has established its main centre at the disaster management department of Shantikunj Haridwar. From here, the rescue workers can receive pulses, rice, flour, oil, salt, sugar, vegetables, kerosene, matches, clothes etc for helping the victims.
Kits of other essential materials are made and delivered to the needy people quickly. There has been a high demand for rice from Chhattisgarh.
Keeping this in mind, local members of Gayatri Pariwar have dispatched other essential materials including rice to the Disaster Management Center of Shantikunj, Haridwar.
