Awareness created among girls, women about sanitation

Jagdalpur, Dec 11: A programme was organised by the Women and Child Development Deaprtment along with The Bastar Care Foundation (TBCF) Jagdalpur in Gram Gumiyapal, Tandpal, Sakar and Burji under Tokapal block to create awareness among girls and women about monthly periodic cycle (MPC), sanitation, cleanliness and good health.
In this programme the girls and women were asked to maintain healthy diet and sanitation during MPC and use sanitary napkins as well. Apart from this the girls, women present were distributed napkins. The girls present were informed about good-touch and bad-touch and awareness was created among them about child marriage.
On this occasion girls, teachers, women and Child Development Deptt Supervisor, Mitanin, Anganbadi workers and women and girls from the village were present.
