Chilfighati, Jun 12:
Due to construction work of boundary wall of Girl’s Hostel in Bangalatikara in Forest village of Chilfi, 25 families from 18 houses have been displaced and all other affected families are to be displaced in coming four months. Though the innocent forest people belonging to poor class have accepted the government words, but there is lot of resentment within all.
Two years back as per demand of villagers, a 50-seater Girl’s Hostel was constructed and its boundary wall was still pending. In such a condition, unaware of displacement, the authorities decided to construct Girl’s Hostel in Bangalatikara of Chilfi and passed a proposal in support of it. But this Girl’s hostel is now being constructed at the place for which there is no proposal and it is forcefully being constructed there and a boundary wall has to be constructed upto 200 mts on all four side of it. But the officers in nexus with building contractors have increased it upto 450 mts. There are about 25 families from 18 houses who are getting affected from it and will be displaced.
Due to this the contractor along with department laid border of the boundary wall using limestone powder secretly and seeing which the villagers were fearful and felt sad about it. With no help from the government, the villagers also met the MLA and Minister Mohammed Akbar and lodged complaint with him. On this MLA asked the District Collector to immediately displace the affected people and rehabilitate them. On this Collector asked Tehsildar and Janpad CEO Bodala to inspect the site and prepare report on it. The Tehsildar and CEO reached the site last on Saturday and took stock of Girl’s Hostel and proposal boundary wall of it and by identifying land for all the 18 affected familites, assured them to get house under PMAY having their names in 2011 list of census. Those not having name in the list were asked to construct their houses on their own and on which objection was raised saying that those earning on daily wages, how is it possible.
To be shifted after 4 months:
On reaching the site, Tehsildar Madhu Harsh and Janpad CEO JR Bhagat has asked all the affected families to leave their houses after four months and to identify land for all the 18 affected families, Patwari Sahdev Pangar was given the job. Under this the displaced person who have been displaced should be given plot as per their existing size of their house. Those having names in the list of 2011 census will be provided house under PMAY and those not having name will be given just piece of land. In such conditions the people living in this forest region for last 30-40 years will be facing problem of shelter. On this occasion Sarpanch Shilochani Hathile, TP Choudhary, Sanjay Likhate, Gaudas Baghel, Sunder Das, Girwar Das, Anil Baghel, Manju Yadav, Balak Das and other villagers were present.
