Ahmed Patel became Congress’s new treasurer, Motilal Vora was made general secretary

Congress President Rahul Gandhi, while making a major reshuffle in the party organization, appointed senior leader Ahmed Patel as Treasurer, while till now, Motilal Vora, who handles this responsibility, has been appointed general secretary (administration).

In place of CP Joshi, Senior Party leader, who has been associated with Rajasthan, Luizinho Flereo has been appointed general secretary in charge of North-Eastern states (excluding Assam).

Senior leader Anand Sharma was appointed as the chairman of the party’s foreign affairs department in place of Karan Singh and former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has been included as a permanent invitee member in the Congress Working Committee.

Congress General Secretary Ashok Gehlot said in a statement: “Congress President Rahul Gandhi has appointed Ahmed Patel as Treasurer of Congress with immediate effect.

With this, Motilal Vora has been made general secretary (administration). “He said,” The party appreciates the hard work and contribution of Treasurer, Motilal Vora. ”

Ahmed, a political secretary to former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, has been made treasurer of the party.
He will replace the party’s veteran leader Motilal Vora, who has been holding the post for a long time.

Party President Rahul Gandhi appointed Mr. Vora as general secretary and is responsible for the responsibility of the party administration. Under another important change, the Deputy Leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha, Anand Sharma, has been given the responsibility of the party’s external affairs department in place of Dr. Karan Singh.
