Several social activities on Saturday extended support to the demonstration carried out by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) against the illegal sale of sand under the alleged patronage of the senior officials of Mining department.
Sanjay Pandey from Railway Contractor Association, Mamta Tiwari and Sanjay Sinha from Prakritik Nyay Samiti, Gariabandh District Unit President Raja Thakur Parmeshwar Sahu joined indefinite dharna staged by AAP office-bearer Shatrughan Sahu at Budhapara Dharna Spot while maintaining social distancing.
Members of the Agitation committee headed by Suraj Upadhayaya, Munna Bisen, Tejendra Toldekar, Nishant Bhatt, Satwant Mahilang and Kamal Nayak sought suspension of the corrupt Mining Officer and submitted a memorandum to Director Mineral Resources in support to their demand.
