7 including a minor arrested for attempting on youth at Boriyakalan

Mujgahan police on Wednesday arrested seven assailants, including a minor, for allegedly making an attempt on a youth in Boriyakalan Housing Board colony on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, the condition of the injured youth is now stated to be out of danger and he is recovering fast in the hospital.
According to police, complainant Dinesh Sendre’s younger brother Vinesh had a bitter argument with one Pankaj Tiwari on Tuesday at about 9:00 pm. However, the issue was sorted out within few minutes following intervention by Vinesh’s friends Ravi Tandi, Anil and Roshan Kumar.
While Pankaj retreated from there soon after the ‘compromise’, about two hours later he returned to the colony along with several friends including Vinay Sharma, Raja Sharma and Salman Giddi. All of them called out Ravi Tandi and as soon as she came out of his house, they all pounced upon him and started beating him black and blue.
This soon came to knowledge of Vinesh and he rushed to help his friend. Seeing him coming, the assailants left Ravi and attacked Vinesh and then suddenly one of them stabbed couple Vinesh of times in his abdomen after which all of them fled from the spot.
Complainant Dinesh immediately rushed his brother to a hospital through an ambulance. Later he complained the matter in Mujgahan police station following which an offence was registered under Section 307, 323, 34 IPC all above named assailants.
Taking serious note of the incident, SSP (Raipur) Dr Ajay Yadav immediately directed for nabbing all the assailants and this led to arresting of a total of 7 assailants including a minor.
Those arrested have been identified as Salman Giddi, Shahil Shaikh, Bhishma Narayan Sharma, Nitai Mondal, Syed Nasir and Santosh Dhruv. Efforts are now underway to nab the remaining assailants.
