40 trees relocated for road construction

Bhilai, Sep 22: For the construction of the road, the old trees would not be axed down but will be relocated at other places. The trees would be taken out with their roots and planted at another place. In this regard, the Municipal Corporation of Bhilai Charoda has done an innovative experiment.
Here, 40 trees were coming in the way of the road of Padum Nagar which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 4 crore. It was decided that the trees would not be cut down but will be shifted to another place. All the trees were shifted and now they are flourishing in the new place.
On Wednesday, Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure inspected the spot and praised this work. He said that it was a noble task to shift the trees. They have been planted in the immediate vicinity. This also opened the way for road construction and trees were also saved. Giving information regarding the progress of the road, Commissioner Kirtiman Rathore said that oxyzone is being made on the side of the road. A Pathway is being built and a Butterfly Garden is also being prepared which will be a special attraction of the road.
It is noteworthy that the road is being constructed at a cost of Rs 4 crore. Due to its beautiful garden, this road will be useful for the people and will also be attractive. Collector also inquired about the progress of its construction and directed to work keeping in mind the deadline.
