In the Samadhan Shivir organised at village Chikhali of Durg Development Block, under the Lok Suraaj Abhiyaan on Saturday, a total of 2998 applications received for various departments have been resolved. After the solution of the aforesaid applications, only 32 applications remain to be resolved. Time limit has been fixed for the resolution of the remaining applications. Thus the total number of applications received was 3030.
Collector R Shangeetha was present at the camp. In her presence the villagers or applicants were briefed about the status of their applications. District Panchayat President Maya Belchandan, District Panchayat CEO RK Khunte and other public representatives were specially present.
While addressing the camp, the collector said that during the earlier camps applications were collected and to redress the same the Samadhan Shivirs were conducted from April 03 to May 20 with the aim of giving information about the solutions received from different departments and benefiting the villagers from different schemes. Special efforts have been made to solve the applications by the authorities. All types of applications found suitable for resolution from the received applications have been resolved as far as possible. She further said that the benefits of the schemes have been given as per rules and qualifications. On the large number of applications for the Prime Minister’s housing scheme in the rural areas, the collector said that rules have been laid out for getting benefit from the scheme. She added that such beneficiaries who are really poor and they need the house, survey of such people should be conducted by the village panchayats and proposal for actual eligibility beneficiaries should be send to the administration. Such applications would be considered for benefits under the scheme.
For the success of the camps, the Collector expressed her gratitude towards public representatives District Administration officials and other representatives who have directly or indirectly assisted in organizing the Samadhan Shivir.
167 people benefited from the Samadhan Shivir under different schemes. Under the Prime Minister Ujjwala scheme 45 connections were distributed to women. Department of Agriculture distributed hand sprayers to 4 farmers, Health Cards to 25 farmers, and Ice Box for 7 fishermen. Also, domicile and caste certificates were distributed to 40 schoolchildren by the Department of Revenue. The labour department distributed 5 cheques for purchase of cycles, and 40 labour cards for registration.
Along with this, the Health Department organised health check up camp where hundreds of villagers were checked and given medicines. Social Welfare Department gave a cheque of Rs 21,000 a beneficiary encouragement scheme for marriage of a person affected from disability. Under the Chief Minister Skill Development Scheme, the process of registering was conducted for unemployed youth for training in various employment-oriented skills.
