13 liquor bars found open beyond permissible time

Bhilai, Jul 19: On the directions of SP Prashant Agrawal, the teams of District Police conducted surprise inspections at the liquor bars of the city to check the violation of the shutdown deadline.
During this late night operation, police teams checked almost 41 liquor bars of the district. Action was taken against 13 bars which were found serving the visitors beyond the prescribed time limit.
Late night on Sunday, teams of Durg Police which were led by 21 Inspector rank officers conducted surprise checks at 41 bars of the district. Police had received information that many liquor bars were serving liquor beyond the permissible time. As the district administration’s order of partial lockdown is still in place, all types of restaurants, bars and hotels can be operated only till 22:00 hrs.
Considering the situation, the police teams reached the liquor bars after 22:30 hrs and checked whether they have shut down or were still operating. Police teams found that 13 bars / hotels were operational beyond the permissible time frame. Police prepared inquests and the cases have been forwarded to the Excise Department for further action. The hotels / bars which were found violating the timing rules were (1) Hotel Amit International (Supela); (2) Lotus Culture (Supela); (3) Star Hotel Park International (Supela); (4) Star Hotel Grand Dhillon (Supela); (5) Hotel Rockfort (Supela);
(6) Pleasure Club (Pulgaon); (7) Bhilai Club (BSP Club) (Bhilai Nagar); (8) Hotel Sagar International (Mohan Nagar); (9) Imperial Blue Bar (Chhawani); (10) Blue Heaven Hotel (Newai); (11) Punjab Bar (City Kotwali, Durg); (12) Visor Club Hotel Ashish International (Chhawani) and (13) Hotel Center Point (Supela).
